If he weren't constantly distracted by the chick under the desk giving him a BJ, he might have something interesting to say.
“time value of talent” - He almost has a well thought out idea here, but I think the chick went from suck to blow, and that took him off track.
If the postseason might bring in $30M — not a sure thing the get there even with Oswalt — and they have to add $28M to bring in Oswalt, it seems like a wash in the budget.
Whereas, moving Strasburg, even if he isn’t quite as good as Oswalt was in his prime, would mean they would have to invest a minimum of $10M in the FA market for the next 4-ish years. So, Strasburg is something like a $40M cost savings.
I just don’t see how Washington or any team not named Yankees or Red Sox can throw away $40M cost savings and not lose money.
