Ah. So. His 1-month, 5-inning limit comes to an end right about Sep callup time.

Quite the intricate plan with him. I don’t think I’ve seen the Rangers have such a specific plan with any other pitcher.

Josh Lueke

has been the subject of very little comment here an on other Rangers blogs and didn’t make Newberg’s top 72. But, I was pretty impressed with what I saw from him last night with a fastball consistently at 95-96 and touching 98 per the stadium gun. His strikeout totals this year are outrageous, with 52 in 29 1/3 innings split between Bakersfield and Frisco. I know that he is moderately old for the league, and that he pitched only a few innings last year, presumably because of an injury.

I don’t know too much about this guy. Anyone able to fill in the blanks on whether this is a guy who should be getting on our radar?

WARNING: Not for those with a weak stomach, and/or respect for human decency...
The woman told police she remembered vomiting into the toilet at the apartment. While doing so, the woman told police someone she could not identify who was standing at her side masturbating on her.

She said she passed out, and when she awoke at around 8:45 a.m., she told police she was lying on a couch with her pants down and other parts of clothing were missing.

She told police she felt violated and that she never agreed to have sex with anyone. Investigators later obtained DNA samples from semen found on the woman’s jeans and white tank top and from an anal swab.

He's established himself as at least a fringe prospect this year

A guy who could have a future out of the bullpen. I’d put him in the same category as someone like Evan Reed, a live arm who has some value, but who probably has the most utiliity to the Rangers as a throw-in in a trade rather than as a major league contributor.

I think the Rangers should call around and offer every team Reed, Lueke, Pedro Strop, Omar Beltre, Ben Snyder, and Warner Madrigal as a package. See what someone would give up for an entire bullpen.

At least one top guy

They’d ask for Scheppers, Smoak, Feliz, Holland or Perez; we’d laugh contemptuously. We’d offer Font, Main and Leuke. They’d deliberate for a while, probably ask for Beavan to be thrown in to the mix. We’d hang up and never speak to Zduriencik again.

Perez and Moreland, maybe, but not really since they were moving up a level, and Beltre could very well

move up a level within the next month.

Feliz says his greatest thrill was striking out Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz, one of his heroes. Yet, when he called to tell his parents, his mother had a request: Strike out New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, too.

Nicey, nice, nice.

Well, really just 3xNice on Profar.

Obviously some of the other guys are exciting (Rojas and McBride in particular do some excitements on me), but nothing too titanic outside of Profar.

Of course this could change in short order as picks get signed (Olt/Grimm/Miles), or their dance moves convince the team they’re ready (Skole/Deglan) or both (Miles/ Buckel).

Oh, and it’s hilarious we’re still trying to make Clark Murphy happen.
