How Mariano Rivera Dominates Hitters
This is probably one of the best animations in regards to the effectiveness of a cutter and why it has become more and more common in baseball. One of the cooler uses of pitch f/x and 3-D trajectories so far to date. Only 2 minutes long, but well worth the look.

When a guy throws cutters 85% (75% to righties; 99% to lefties in 2010) of the time...
pitch spin and pitch identification really doesn’t matter. He’s not “fooling” hitters. He’s just sticking the baseball right up their butts.
Wow, I had been stalling watching this
Freakin’ awesome, fascinatingly awesome.

This is greatness
I know that we are all supposed to hate the Yankees. And they have plenty of guys that I don’t have trouble rooting against. But I have always marveled at and respected the hell out of Rivera. So great. So money.
