I love the idea
But without Fielder signing a contract extension with us it makes no sense. We don’t have the money to take him on anyways. It will cost a ton of prospects (Perez and Scheppers plus more).

I disagree with all that
I don’t love the idea of adding Fielder.
I especially hate the idea of giving him a contract extension — he’s going to want more than Ryan Howard got, and that would be a horrible contract.
And I don’t think that it would take Perez, Scheppers, and others to make a deal.
