right, but...
Lee will probably contribute something like 3.5 WAR over his tenure as a Ranger.
Haren will probably contribute something like 21 WAR in the next 2 and a half seasons. Seems like the Angels got great value.

now the Rangers will have Haren to contend with for 3 years. This sucks. I doubt the PTBNL is Trout. I think the Dbacks just got screwed because the Halos were willing to take on Haren’s contract.
I know there’s a perception out there by some that Saunders is good, but he’s really not. Unfortunately it appears as if the DBackd FO have some of those people that think Saunders is good. Bleh.

the Rangers are young, better prospects, on the verge of getting a real ownership( which means they will possibly try to sign lee). This team has such great upside with the Rookies and such that I am not worried about the Angels. I am only worried what the Rangers do and how our youngsters keep progressing…..I am excited.

I dropped at least 10 questions related to Haren (knowing he couldn’t answer, but trying to subliminally influence him).
Turns out we could have traded Feldman, Beltre, and Beltre for him.
Just gross.
Haren
He will struggle. Whenever a pitcher moves from the AL to the NL, they’ll suddenly will be better. When they go from the NL the the AL, they’ll struggle. NL lineups as a whole are weaker, especially in the 9 hole. I’m not to worried about Haren with the Angels, by the time he adjusts, the Rangers will just about have the West tied up.

Good move by Angels but not enough
Angels made a good pick up but I don’t think it will be enough. The hitting is where the Angels lack, the age is really piling up on them quick. The Rangers are still the team to beat, check out my article why http://pardonmybias.com/the-surging-rangers/
