Here's something that might be fun for me until the games have more leverage.
The 2010 Rangers are now tied for the 44th winningest season in franchise history.
That, um, counts three strike years, though.
Also, I find it hilarious that the fewest wins in franchise history. . .
. . . was good enough to lead the division at the end of the year.

No, it was a plain-clothes officer with a handgun.
Two guys chased him onto the subway car, one tackled him, and the other stood up, flattened out his coat, and put two shots in the back of the guy’s head. The BBC put all of the subway video camera footage together, with the last shot being from the camera in the car itself, above the shooter’s left shoulder.

I'm white, so I didn't personally encounter any... but...
… I want to know if its towards any specific ethnic groups? Muslims? Blacks? Indians? London has so many of all three, this surprises me. I didn’t encounter any racism when I lived in Florence, but I also saw about 10 non-Japanese minorities.

What's interesting..
Is that watching British television, I’m struck by the amount of mixed-race relationships that are portrayed. I have absolutely zero issues with them, and I wait with bated breath for a time when I don’t actually notice them anymore, but it’s still interesting to see how much it’s shown on the BBC.

If sitcoms and dramas were evidence of what a country’s society at large was like, I think people would get a very different picture of America, too, no?
One that I have the stats to back up…how many Indian doctors do you see on the crazy number of shows that involve doctors? They make up about 20% of the doctors in the US the last time I checked, but you would think they were a small minority just from TV…much smaller than say black doctors, who medical schools are practically begging for.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not much easier or anything. Just saying it’s comparable. But yeah, they only have to throw it by you once to get an out (and if they hit the wicket) and they just ahve to get everybody out which used to take 2-3 days so it’s still harder to do that than in baseball.
but the skill level is comparable

but the heavy tennis ball thing. I don’t know what they do to it. I’ve played with a deuce ball but not batted with one. Stood in a field, threw the ball back when it got to me.

no, the study was about how they aged.
Apparently back in the day it was cool to get a mold of your face done. The history channel was able to create recreations of how some of the presidents looked before and after they were in office and it showed how much they aged. I was just saying I think Bush looks healthier now.
Also
Bush had one of the most stressful presidencies in a long time. Most stressful since Nixon? and even that wasn’t 8 years. Not sure if there has been a Presidency that was so stressful that lasted that long. Grant? Not sure he really cared enough.
