Runs are down in Minute Maid, but HR and 3B are well above average, hits, doubles and walks all slightly below average. Somehow all equates to well below for runs.

Runs: 0.897
HR: 1.134
H: 0.976
2B: 0.942
3B: 1.445 (!!)
BB: 0.958

Either way, Guzman sucks

He’ll hit an empty .280-290 and play good defense, but without any speed, power, or walks.

I really don’t see the need to acquire him- if Arias or Blanco can’t fill in for a couple weeks, why exactly are they on the roster?

MLBTR has him as the lowest Type-B of the 2B/3B/SS crew in the NL. However, that position is significantly better in the Elias rankings in the AL.

Just sucks that JD has to keep including an extra prospect or two in every deal because Hicks ran off with the family silver.

I’m thinking when the sale is finally completed, we all head over to the Hicks mansion and pelt him with baseballs, pucks, and soccer balls until he agrees to buy everyone beer. Then, after the beer arrives, we resume the pelting.

Buying at the deadline generally means we are winning and getting ready for a playoff run. This is a good thing.
