Halo Bloggers Disrespect Rangers

If you are like me, you probably follow the games of our divisional rivals to see how they are doing.  When you look at the stories, particularly on Yahoo Sports, you also find links to Halo Heaven, the collection of Angel blogs from SB Nation.

Now, I've referred to the Yankees as the "Evil Empire" like many other non-Yankee fans, but that doesn't come close to the rude, down-right unsportsman-like comments made by many of these bloggers.  The one that is the most irritating is Rev Halo Fan, who refers to Rangers as the "cocaine cowboys, referring to the past problems of Josh Hamilton and Ron Washington.  For the past couple of months, this Fallen Angels' fan has prophesized that the "cocaine cowboys" will "wilt in the Texas heat" and fade as usual.  Everytime the Rangers happen to lose, he gives an "I told you so" even if they've won 3 or 4 in a row before that.  When the Rangers win 1-0 or 2-1, all he talks about is the "wilting offense", forgetting about the great pitching the team has had all year.  Just the other day, after beating the Red Sox  10-9 the night before, the "Rev" proclaimed the Angel's turnaround after we lost to Boston Ace Jon Lester 3-1, that the wilting has begun.  Of course, he'll ignore the 7-3 win today and the two out of three we took from Boston to go with the split we gained from the Yankees.

If you are going to root against your team's rivals, don't make it a personal vendetta. Name calling doesn't win pennants.
