This OT thread is for all us foodies, beer snobs, gluttons, and connoisseurs of all things delicious.
The LSB threads are filled daily with talk about what's for lunch and your new favorite brew. I, for one, love it. I'd love to hear what other LSB food and beverage snobs are loving these days.
What flavors and cuisines are you using a lot of lately? What are some of your favoriite techniques when dealing with tough tasks, such as cleaning fish or boning chicken? Has any been so fancy as to try this sous vide technique that's all the rage on Top Chef? Related: is this the lamest Top Chef season since Season 1? We could expand on our love for toasted whole spices.

I live in a very small house, and from what I've read it seems like this process can take a lot of room. Any tips on maximizing your end product on limited space?
Restaurant talk: has anyone been to Brownston, Casey Thompson's (of Top Chef fame) new restaurant? Here's the DMN review; very excited to try it some time. In less-fancy-restaurant talk: where are your favorite places to get tacos within 5 minutes of I-35?
So, let's talk about food, beer, wine, recipes, and anything else that comes up!
