I'm a Geographic Information Science major at the University of Oklahoma. I'm enrolled in a class called Computer Mapping and Analysis and I thought I'd share my final project with you.

I have to create a thematic map, a map that basically presents a subject along with color-coding, color key, labels, graphics, etc. I want to create a baseball-related map for this class. However, I must have an original problem/question to come up with for this map and it cannot be found in the first three pages of Google.

I thought about something with blackout maps, TV market overlaps, and potential expansion team TV markets, but nothing really sticks. TV markets seem to be the easiest since I can color-code counties and whatnot.

Do any of you have any ideas for this project? Any feedback would be so essential and I would be greatly appreciative.
