Steel Home- you asked what I meant by "process."
You have to grade JD’s actions at the time he made them, not after. JD can’t control how the players play after he trades for them or trades them away, so you grade the thought process that brought about the trade.
Take the Lee trade as an example. JD knew we needed an ace to go to for Game 1 of a playoff series and Lee was the best on the market. So he traded a prospect he knew Seattle loved along with three other prospects (only one of whom will probably be worth much, if anything) and went all-in.
How Lee does after the trade is irrelevant to the grading of the trade itself as it relates to JD. He doesn’t play the games.

Cantu, Molina, Guzman, Lee have all sucked so far…thats not idiotic. Molina may be good with the pitchers but we gave up too much for him.
2 months, yes, we only have lee for 3-4 months
(3-8) just shows how he hasnt really improved our team record, now he has pitched good games where we have lossed, but still for the rangers his ERA is now around 4.50
And lee needs some rest right now, either put him on the DL, or just sit him out for a couple of starts
