Favorite broadcasters in baseball?

After being influenced by Eric Karros, I am here to figure out which broadcasters are the best in baseball. Ranger fans, you may name anyone who broadcasts for Major League Baseball, including Josh Lewin and Tom Grieve.

I'll go first. I will include my choice and a reasoning.

Rich Waltz, play-by-play announcer for the Florida Marlins

I chose Rich because of a few things. First off, one of the things I cannot stand at all is biased announcing, which is the complete opposite of Rich's style. Like Lewin, he is constantly excited about being around sports, and it is always a joy to watch. I really give him extra props because 81 of the 162 games in Miami are at a HOME STADIUM that seems to have one of the least filled stadiums in all of Major League Baseball. It has to take some serious motivation to stay upbeat when there isn't very many excited fans below where you are speaking.

Keith Hernandez, color commentator for the New York Mets

I'm staying in the National League East for this one. Even though his mustache is highly intriguing to look at, his knowledge of the game is unbelievable. He hardly comes in and says anything unrelated to the game of baseball without being stupid and if he does go a little off-topic, Gary Cohen (play-by-play) and Ron Darling (color commentator) always seem to enjoy what Hernandez talks about.

Don't forget about:

Vin Scully (Los Angeles Dodgers)

Michael Kay (New York Yankees)

Forget about:

Jeff Brantley (Cincinnati Reds)

Ken Harrelson (Chicago White Sox)
