OT - CFB Thread Part Deux - Games of the Year
If only I were a Seminole.....
Continuing with the thread created by Horns130, I thought I'd add to the insanity of this first week of CFB with a little fun.
There are a slew of great games this season on paper, and I want to know with the stipulation that money is not an option, what ONE game would you like to see in person or are planning on going to see already.
Now, there is but one stipulation - the game cannot involve the school you are affiliated with. Which means PMProductions can't choose a TCU game, Aquaman can choose a Baylor game, and I can't choose an A&M game.
I'll go ahead and give you mine.
I'm actually going to this game this year and I'll be honest, I CANNOT FRIGGIN WAIT! I will be visiting DEAF VALLEY for the first time in my life to see LSU take on the defending National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide in November. I lucked out by having a friend that still has ties to LSU and he got me tickets. Hopefully, both will be undefeated heading in to that game and it'll get the national feed with CBS.

I don't like the stipulations, but I will honor them.

Speaking of "games of the year"
Texas / Rice
Where’s the best place to watch Texas games in DFW? I know the Exes watch somewhere on McKinney Ave, but I’m wondering about other places
affiliated with?
Unfortunately, most of the Horns fans have no affiliation with UT other than having spent money at the University Co-op at some point or another.
I’ll go with Boise St vs. Va Tech on Monday night. I’ll be rooting for a Boise St fail, but only because it would help TCU should they be fortunate enough to go undefeated.

i think you can say this for literally any D1 school in america.
Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.
Scout: Well, he spent a lot of it on milkshakes.
Not true....
UT has earned the moniker – “T-shirt University”.
I believe they had to send over 200,000 “2010 National Champions” shirts to africa or haiti or somesuch.

Yeah, any of the big SEC schools, for starters, are right there with UT.
And then, off in a world of its own, there’s ND…

I'm looking forward to this game
But it cannot be my game for this little exercise since I’m a Va Tech Alum.
Go Hokies!

Neither set is real.
The chick on the left is Jenn Sterger, who was very upfront and unapologetic about her implants.
Just had them removed recently, IIRC.

I wanna do Ohio St/Mich before I die, just once.
I watch that documentary on HBO everytime it comes on. And I’d root for Ohio St. I can’t stand Michigan.

There are no circumstances under which I'd pull for tOSU...
Maybe against Oklahoma or Texas. Maybe.
Luckily...
I’ll be at one of those.
And I expect it to be especially rowdy this year.

O ya

It's insanity.
Have a buddy whose cousin worked in Florida’s AD and brought us out one year for it…
The best time I had in college. Bar none.
And exhale...
what a great game last night.
I thought we were going to blow it with penalties and turnovers in that first half. Luckily Pitt returned the favor a little later on. I can’t believe the Utes defense held Lewis like they did. That kid is a great RB. O-line looked great against a couple All-American DE’s too.
Ya know, I know the Utes have been very good the last few years, but I have to wonder how much luck plays into all these close games they’re winning against very good teams. It has happened too often for it all to be luck, but there certainly does seem to be a little bit of that there as well.
GO UTES.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
i watched last night as well
I was pretty impressed with Utah (outside of the turnovers). If Wynn can mature into a solid QB, they could be a threat to TCU in the Mountain West this year…particularly since TCU will have to win in Utah – something that doesn’t seem as much of a slam-dunk after watching that environment last night.

Damn were we loud last night...
that stadium was crazy. I’m curious what it sounded like on TV. I forgot to record the game, but I’d imagine it sounded pretty raucous.
The MUSS (Mighty Utah Student Section) was nuts the whole game. Great atmosphere.
TCU still scares me, I think they’re very good too. At least we get them in Salt Lake this year. Should be a great game as well.
