Interesting low risk/high reward signing
How about Mark Prior for a bullpen spot next year? He's attempting a comeback and seems on the right track. Obviously this would be a boom/bust scenario but he would be worth a look for a pretty decent price. It would really depend on how the offers heat up. What say you??

You really should put...
a little more thought and effort into a fanpost than this.
Otherwise just post it in the morning thread.

Yeah, he is
If you have a problem with it, you can run against him this November in the election. But until then, you will respect his authority.

Well in that case...
What else could I really add to it? A bunch of irrelevant split stats that reflect how he pitched before the injury? The dude hasn’t pitched in the bigs since 2006. I thought it was an interesting baseball article that could possibly affect the Rangers in the future. Please, oh wise sheriff of the fanposts, enlighten me on how to improve mine.

and it being a fanpost is a big deal because?
Is there some kind of limit to fanshots each SBN blog is allowed?

and yet...
guns, college football, and food are approved fanpost topics?

if I would have posted
a pic of Mark Prior with excellent tits, would it have been approved?

It's a start, but you didn't do that did you?

I am relaxed...
I wasn’t trying to be a dick to the guy. Although I can see how my post would have been taken that way.
The thing is that this place has gotten so big the last year or two that it can be hard to actually make it through everything, It’s not like 3 or 4 years ago where the biggest diary was 150 posts and there were only 1 or 2 of them a day.
Is it a big deal, of course not, just a suggestion.
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance."-Socrates
valid
I get your point. And yes, I did take it as you being a douchebag. I thought it might drum up and interesting conversation is all. Although, I do appreciate the excellent grilled cheese ideas!

I say no...
Mainly cause we have plenty of live arms to fill out a solid bullpen. Obviously if the price was low enough it would be worth the risk, but I think he’ll get overpaid based on name recognition and it’s just not a spot of need. Best case scenario doesn’t really improve the team THAT much, I’d rather get a boom/bust guy at 1b/C/SP where if everything came together it would improve the team greatly.
my better is better than your better.

I'd consider it...
depending on the cost of course. Given how unreliable most bullpen arms can be from year-to-year, it can’t hurt to have too many arms to choose from. You may be right about the cost due to his name

You can never have enough arms.
If you can get him on a cheap NRI you’d be crazy not to at least take a look.

Rich Harden 2.0 but if the price is low enough go for it.

excuse me sir...
this has no place in a fanpost. If you would like to comment about your lunch, please make it a fanshot or state it in the morning thread. Thank you for your compliance.

elections? I thought this was an aggressively propogated anarchy state,

And bacon (or ham if no bacon available)
Tomatoes go in at the end so they don’t go all mushy.

Sounds good.
You’d want something a little sweet to offset the tangyiess. Maybe some caramelized onions. Also, I’d need some sort of cured meat in there. Everything is better with cured meats.

As long as its cheap,
I agree with giving him a shot.
Only problem if he ends doing well, then thats all ESPN will talk about when the topic of the Texas Rangers comes up, even if we win the WS this year.
I wouldn't be against a NRI to spring training.
