Hamilton keeps the faith...
I looked for Josh in the post-game beer and champagne bonanza, hoping I wouldn't see him. Yes, he had one slip-up last year...but I think he learned a tough lesson. Now he stands as one of the few modern-era athletes who you can point out to your sons and say, "Be like him."

YEah, I felt bad for him not being able to celebrate with his teammates after the game...but he has more important things to worry about...so good for him.

I'd really rather my kid
acts like someone else who never becomes an addict in the first place, rather than be a real stand up guy after nearly destroying himself and putting his family through all kinds of hell.
When you're drowning, you don't say 'I would be incredibly pleased if someone would have the foresight to notice me drowning and come and help me,' you just scream.
shit happens....he's doing what millions haven't been able to do.
But yeah, of course I agree with you.

Why is it...
that it seems like those guys never get the kind of praise that someone like Hamilton gets?
It’s like you have to screw up numerous times and be an ass, then turn your life around before being acknowledged as doing something good.

Thanks for pointing this out, Ted.
I point him out to my kids all the time. Not because he is “perfect” but because he is flawed…like all of us.
