Heyman picks JD as AL Exec of the Year
Of course, he loses all credibility then by picking Amaro as the 2nd best Executive in the NL...
Page 2 says Levine is #8 on his list of prospective GM candidates, and Preller is #23. He then names John Hart as #26, with this quote:
putting together two of the best front-office staffs in baseball, first in Cleveland and then in TexasSorry, but I just think that is revisionist history on Hart...

JD seems like the obvious choice.
MOY could still be up for debate, but ROY has gotta be Fleas.

Yup.
With Hamilton as MVP.
If Brad Pitt is playing Beane who do you want playing you?
JD: Eddie Guardado.

I don't think Hamilton is the obvious choice anymore
I think he should be so don’t get me wrong. I just also think the writers will go for Cabrera given how far ahead he is in RBI over Hamilton. Writers love RBI

I don't see Bautista being a huge candidate
too many PED questions, and he’s playing on a 4th place team, which arguably shouldn’t matter, but let’s not kid ourselves.
This is the first I've heard of anyone mentioning Bautista in the discussion
I would be SHOCKED if he’s in the top 2.

I would to but it wouldn't be a tragedy
Bautista has put up quite a season. Only his average is worrisome. Everything else is very strong. Strong OPS, huge number of doubles and homers (plus 3 triples). Great runs and RBI for the voters. OPS+ of 167 and 6.8 WAR.
Compare that to OPS+ of 174 and 8.0 WAR for Hamilton, 180 and 6.3 for Cabrera, and 138 and 6.3 for Cano. I list those 3 because they were the most talked about for the majority of the season. Crawford, Beltre, and Longoria probably should be listed as well.
I prefer Hamilton, Beltre, and Cabrera personally but am not hugely surprised by Bautista. I give him credit for a very, very good season.
Didn't say he hasn't had a good season
Just don’t think he’ll be in the top 2.

Not revisionist
There are several of Hart’s former assistants that are now GMs or high up in many front offices now. Say what you want about Hart, but he seemed to like hiring quality assistants.
When you're drowning, you don't say 'I would be incredibly pleased if someone would have the foresight to notice me drowning and come and help me,' you just scream.
Condom?
If I had a gun to my head and had to pick one pitcher to pitch a game to save my life.... I'd pick 1999 Rick Helling.
