I know that it is likely he will return to St. Louis if they can come up with the cash, but here is what I think would be a reasonable Rangers overture. 6 years, $180 million. Basically use the money budgeted (and advanced from TV deal) for Cliff Lee and give it to Albert. 2012, $35 mil; 2013, $33 mil; 2014, $31 mil; 2015, $29 mil; 2016, $27 mil and 2017, $25 million. It wouldn't hamstring the finances of the team later in the contract, leaving you some flexibility if there is mutual interest to stay.
