The Ranger pitchers surrendered - walks over - innings in the Series and, throughout the postseason, closer Neftali Perez literally walked a tightrope every time he was called in for a save.

This is from a Bill Madden column in the New York Daily News, that is complaining about how bad baseball is nowadays and has quotes from a couple of scouts lamenting how much better life was in the 50s and 60s, when white kids who knew fundamentals played baseball instead of all these furriners. But I mainly am quoting this because this is the worst sentence I've read in a long time. This story has been up on the website for over 36 hours, and there is so much wrong with it, from not knowing Neftali Feliz's name to not knowing the definition of the word "literally."
