What's in a name?

The other night, we learned Chrimaster's last name is, in fact, Chromaster.  Several marveled at his unusual last name.  It made me think about all the interesting/unfortunate names I've been made aware of over the years.  My parents nearly named me Carly (after the singer Simon), but decided against it because of our last name. My parents' friends, of the last name Leer, named their daughter Crystal Shanda.  I also know of a conservation officer who named his sons Hunter, Trapper and Fisher.  What are some crazy/interesting names you've heard? 

Conversely, what name would you NEVER give your kids because of the association you tie it to? Among those off the list for me is Travis.  I've never known a nice Travis.
