Also, a question: is Thanksgiving dinner really Thanksgiving dinner if it takes place at fucking noon? I say fuck no. This is not 'Nam, Smokey. There are rules. My entire life, people arrived and mingled in the early afternoon while shit's cooking, eaten somewhere between 3 and 5, then mingled/cleaned for maybe an hour or two after and gone the fuck home. That's Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving doesn't start in the morning, take place at noon and then leave everyone with ??? for the afternoon. That's freakish. Sounds like something a Canadian would do.

But apparently that's what my mother's family is doing this year.

As if I needed another reason to be glad I'm not going.
