Neftali Feliz: I for one do not want to see him try to crack the rotation. He simply doesn't have the secondary stuff. Also, imagine Feliz as the closer for the next 10 to 15 years. Imagine not having to worry about a blown save costing us a game every time we are in a close game (Frank Francisco, please take note of that last line). I for one would be happy with a shut down closer for the next decade.
Ouch. I will eat my own words here. God I'm still hurting from game 6.

Where did this come from?
Yes, I’m also still hurting from game six. I’m still hurting that Harrison wasn’t very sharp in game seven and we blew another lead. For some reason I actually thought that he was going to throw a Derek Holland type of game (shutout).
Being a closer is not easy to put up with because eventually there will be failure and good closers have to put that out of their minds. Who knows whether Feliz overcomes game 6 if he stays in the bullpen. Ultimately, Ogando looked very good as a starter last year, and perhaps Feliz does the same thing, or perhaps he remains in the bullpen. We shall see, and I wouldn’t be surprised either way.
