irony
How much was ironic? I mean, sounds like you were a fan at one point?

Never liked Verducci the writer
Always appreciated Verducci the face. It’s a work of fiction. I just took the Verducci joke and created a bigger world for it. I channeled a little Thomas Bernhard and it just blew out. If you dig deeper, its a critique of the old-school types like Verducci more than it’s a slash/fic piece, which some have confused it for. It’s deeper than that (or, at least I wanted it to be).
I noticed the Bernhard.
Not sure how I feel about that.

Bernhard is one of my favorites
But he’s polarizing and his work is often a huge jumbled mess. That’s probably why I’m drawn to him. I find a certain calmness in the chaos of his prose.
I have a love/hate relationship with his work.
Which is probably why I’m not sure how I felt about seeing it in yours…

and just think, there’s probably some LSB’er out there that feels exactly the same way about you.
"This was alright"
I quipped.
