Pujols signs w/ Angels
10 years $250 million.
This is terrible news for the Rangers. I can see Pujols dominating us similar to how Vlad did for what seemed like an eternity. Apparently the Angels have more money than they let on. I assume that C.J. won't be signing w/ them though because of payroll constraints but who knows. I'm not looking forward to having to face this monster for the next 10 years. Ugh not good.

not so worried about years 6-10
but he could do an awful lot of damage over the next five years. I tell myself that no one player can be worth that many wins but you have to think that, especially if they also add CJ,, the Angels will project for well over 90 wins next year.
Gotta be worried.
Angels just got a heck of a lot better.

Pujols=what a douche
Clearly all about the money only. Anaheim gave him 250 instead of 200, so rather than going back to his longtime team, he went there.
Course it’s ok I guess, as the Rangers consistently shown for decades, an organization certainly wont show any loyalty to a player when he’s past his use by date. Or at all. So I dont suppose the players should.
Anyways I’ve long kept an eye on when Arod’s infamous Texas contract might be surpassed. It’s held up a while. Pujols gets closest yet. Course with Obama and the libs making our money have all the worth of toilet paper, it’s probably going to happen sooner.
Apparently Arod’s new Yanks deal was 10/275 anyway. Did not know that. Frickin insane.
Personally, I'd take a $50 million raise to move to LA from St. Louis.
But that’s just me… i’m crazy greedy like that.

Well....
I don’t blame him for taking the most money offered to him. The Cards had arguably the best player in baseball for a decade and he was DRASTICALLY underpaid the entire time relative to his production. His last contract of 7 years $100 million was a huge discount. Therefore, I can’t blame him for bolting to the Angels as opposed to leaving $30 million plus on the table.
Heard the Marlins offered him even more
Like 275MM.
