Your 2012 Texas Rangers....
I'd like to play GM of the Rangers for a minute (JD, I'm coming for your job, son!) and let's fast forward to the offseason. This is what I would do if I were the Rangers GM and had the money to do so...
sign Albert Pujol
trade for Zack Greinke and Loriano
With that, now you've got this at your starting line-up in 2012..
ss- Andrus
2b- Kinsler
LF- Hamilton
1b- Pujol
RF- Cruz
3b- Beltre
DH- Murphy/Napoli
C- Torrealba
CF- Engel Beltre
starting 5 SP..
Greinke
Loriano
Wilson
Lewis
Hurley
With that team, I'd say they could win 2 or 3 WS championships and be in contention year in and year out. Ofcourse to get some of these players, Perez, Holland, Schappers, and Profar are dealt.
PS- for the 2012 or 2013 season (whenever we can via MLB rules) I would get new uniforms...I'd keep the same design but just switch up the blue with Red and do away with the blue alternate tops all together and keep those just for Spring Training.
tooooooodles, LSBers

I like the fact that he figured it was simple to plug in Greinke and Loriano
not to mention re-signing Wilson
And then had Hurley in the rotation.
Go Rice Owls!
im not sure what would shock me more
having those 2 guys at the top of the rotation
…or having hurley as tthe #5
Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.
Scout: Well, he spent a lot of it on milkshakes.

Cmon Daniels, make it happen!
Pujol, Loriano and Greinke are there for the taking, no matter what their current teams say. The fact that you obviously value Holland, Schapper, Profa and Perez more so than the aforementioned trio really exposes you as an inadequate GM.
I think we should just
sign/trade for all the guys that make this years all-star team. We would have lots of depth and a great chance to win the WS.
I was a Ranger fan when being a Rangers fan wasn't cool.

He will be back. With a vengeance, possibly? Who of us can say for sure.
"You're failing Seymour; what is it with you and failure?"
....
What in that is wrong? Pujol is a free agent and we have just as great of a chance at getting him as anyone else if he hits the open market. Loriano is already on the block accordingn to many reports and Greinke COULD be on the block if/when the Brewers fall out of the race or realize they can’t resign him. With an expected attendence jump and another lengthy playoff run hopefully, why wont we have the money to get/trade/sign these players? You guys act like it’s your money when it’s not. Be fans and not some internet/stats nerds who live behind a computer screen. It’s a nice sunny day outside today…go out and get some sun you overweight pale MOFO’s…you guys are the problem in my opinion in the DFW sports market. Yall sit behind a computer and bitch about EVERYTHING and ANYTHING and never do ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! Go to games, cheer and boo, and live on the edge in terms of being fans.
btw, im a college graduate with a degree in Business for all you asswipes asking about my age…no shock here though, I don’t expect a bunch of internet losers to see eye to eye with someone living in the real world who thinks outside the box (in this case, the box would be your internet screen/keyboard)

really?
What exactly is stupid about it? Like I said (but I guess some are too dumb to read) Pujols is a FA and the other two pitchers could be had via trade (and we’ve got the farm system to pull off such a trade in my opinion) So again, tell me what’s soo stupid about it? Oh wait, I forgot that you guys get your panties in a knot when anyone talks about the Rangers payroll going up…it’s as if you guys pay for these players. This is the difference between idiots like you on here and and Yankees and Red Sox fans…Those are fans that want to win at all costs while you computer geeks are idiots who care more about a payroll. It's not about that money, it's about team revenue. Gotta increase team revenue by about $100 million to be able to sustain a payroll like that.

It would spell the total collapse of human civilization.

I like Schappers though!
And if we get Pujol and Loriano, wii b da b3st3st!
I own Mickey Tettleton's couch.
Why stop at Loriano, Grienke and Pujol?
I think we should firm up the back end of the rotation and pick up CC. After that we should trade for Joe Mauer to shore up C.
The Angels physically disgust me.
I'd like to sign the entire AL all-star team...
And now that The Ahmad is our GM, and we have a budget of 40 billion, I believe we can do so. I’d trade Pujol for Albert Pujols though.
Ahmad as Ranger GM?
You better put your thinking turban on and try again, you’ve broken the Rangers!

Don't cry for Bengie Molina, he'll be fine. Cry for the 2 guys that used to re-stock the buffet table that the Rangers had to let go.
After looking at this scenario...
I’m curious if he meant Martin Perez or Neftali Perez…
And now Pujols and Scheppers are officially Pujol and Schappers in my book.
well neftali perez will actually be our #1
duh.

I’ll be sure to put you ass clowns as a reference when I apply and unseat JD as the GM of the Rangers one day! Btw, if I ever had any say in the rangers, I’d move them from the hellhole known as Arlington to the goregous and great city of Dallas! In Dallas, we’d have real fans and not a bunch of hillbillys coming out to games who just do the wave and sit on their ass instead of making noise. That’s why I’m 99% sure that most of the fans who came out in the playoffs were NOT from Arlington.
