Full and Half-season ticket holders: Have you gotten yours yet?
Opening Day is one week away, and the last "delay" email promised we would have our tickets by today. I've seen on Twitter a few people have gotten their tickets, and some people have gotten emails with FedEx tracking numbers. However, all the season ticket holders that I have personally talked to have gotten: nothing. No tracking information, and no tickets. What about you?
And to fill the extra space - I'm even more anxious because our tickets will end up going to the apartment complex office, so if we don't have them by Wednesday we are going to be SOL. I'm actually holding up changing our address with USPS even though we have lived in our house for over a week (our lease isn't up until 5/1). Last year we moved between the time we paid them off and the time they arrived, and sure enough, they went to our old apartment.

I don’t have tickets, but my in-laws have half-season tickets and they got them a couple of days ago.
I got my cards and coupons Tuesday but no word on tickets
That’s really a bad situation you’re in Lisa. Have you talked to your rep just in case the worst happens.
I'm an F-18, bro. And I will destroy you in the air. I will deploy my ordinance to the ground
I'm not that concerned about them going to the wrong address
I’m actually still working in the apartment today. I just haven’t changed our address because I don’t want to delay them even more than they already are. It isn’t like we no longer have access to the apartment.
We got our ID cards and coupons earlier this week, too. I’m actually starting to worry that there’s been some colossal screwup and they’ve been sent to our old apartment (the one we moved out of last year). Last year we got lucky and it hadn’t been leased yet, but I know for a fact it’s been leased now.

I have a tracking number!!
Although apparently the ticket company (Paragon Tickets) split my order into two pieces so I am expecting to get some this afternoon and some on Monday. As a 20+ year season ticket holder I think I can safely say that it’s never been cut this close to opening day before. From what the Rangers said in their e-mail, this is largely the ticket company’s fault, if the ticket company has any explanation for all the delays I have yet to hear it.
I can deal with a split order
as long as we have Opening Day tickets by Opening Day.

if it really came to that
I would think that there would be a way to transfer them to yourself through the My Rangers Tickets feature on the Rangers web site.
Voted no because I'm too lazy to call Paragon or whatever...I'm not that scared, the Rangers won't screw me over.
As I've stated in the other thread
I got my tracking number on Wednesday and it was delivered to my door (didn’t sign for them; found them when I got home from Subway) on Thursday. I got my card and other stuff from the Rangers some time Tuesday.
I’ve also stated that it sounds like they took care of the 10 and 20 game holders first, then half-season holders, and now it’s getting to full season tickets. I’m not real happy that the ticket agency cut it this close, but at least they apologized for it in writing.
that was one heck of a lawyer letter
I love the phrase “proposed date” because they don’t want to say that they missed the deadline. I do agree that the tickets look just fine, and they did a real nice job with the opening day tickets. I’m hoping to get the rest of my tickets and my parking passes on Monday.
I get mine Monday.
I got a tracking number yesterday.
This whole process has been frustrating.

to their defense.. probably the 1st year ever they have been in such high demand/volume

There's a lot of reasons.
Added volume and new management are certainly part of it.
But regardless of why, its still been frustrating.

the email strongly implied that it was all the ticket company's fault
whatever happened… sending them ground to arrive a couple of days before the first game is inexcusable IMO. i am disappointed that in light of the error(s) with either the ticket company and/or the rangers, someone didn’t step up and have them sent overnight (ticket company if it was their fault or the team if it was theirs)
it’s not nearly as easy as having the tickets by Thursday and going to the game Friday. we share tickets. tonight is the ticket draw – that we put off until the last minute to accommodate the rangers. whenever i get the tickets, i’m going to have to divvy them up and get them in the hands of the right people. sure, this isn’t the end of the world, but when your job involves getting people tickets, you should be able to get people their tickets – whether that’s the Rangers or the ticket company or both.
i was 100% all right with the personalized email katie sent with my tracking number, assuming that it was overnight delivery (although the email did say “ground” when i reread it), but when i found out that they sent them the cheapest way possible, i got upset.
i’m choosing my words carefully, b/c i know that the rangers read these threads, but i don’t think any of what i said is unfair.
the good news is that the rangers have a committee comprised of season ticket holders that apparently isn’t afraid to voice frustrations, so i feel better knowing that these issues are addressed and that the process improves going forward.

I got a similar email from Katie.
And also inquired why they sent them ground after an already two week delay. I have yet to receive a response.

I had a fedex tracking number yesterday
And received them this morning (they look great fyi). It was Next Day Air for me supposedly.
20 game pack
I bought a 20 game pack and cant get any information. I tried to call the rep I bought the tickets from and he really doesnt seem to know anything either.
I am a little worried!

those are printed internally by the Rangers
and shouldn’t be tied to the delays on the half and full season tickets. Call your rep or the ticket office, they should have been here by now.
Hey Herbie
What’s going on?!!? I have my tickets, but my girlfriend doesn’t have her’s and this is starting to get real frustrating. Both of our orders were paid in full well before the deadline. This is about the 8th thing the Rangers have done this offseason to alienate their season ticket holder fan base. So I really don’t care who’s fault it is. You (The Rangers) didn’t have to switch to a new company to print these. Your the fan guy here so my anger is displaced but your the only one that seems to respond or care. My season ticket rep’s boss had a bunch of empty answers when he called her. If you’d like to discuss this at greater depth in more private forum. My email is the same as my username @gmail.com. Thanks.

I got a tracking number email about 11 last night.
Delivery scheduled via FedEx on Monday. My husband and I will both be at work, so I hope that they have the courtesy to drive the extra 20 yards to the complex office rather than leaving it on my doorstep.
I also received my tracking number late last night.
My ticket rep has been great but this is a joke. I am one of those first year season ticket holders and if the entire season is as big of a mess as this I’m not sure it will be worth it. I never received any of the emails talking about a delay like some others got.
Wondering
I would love to hear the reasons matthewbschultz83 got from Herbie. I have heard all sorts of negative things from long time season ticket holders saying they aren’t getting taken care of very well this year. Hope this isn’t a trend, because now that I can afford them, I would love to be a season ticket holder for a very long time.
So far,
my only gripe is that we didn’t get a coupon for free steak dinner at The Keg like we did last year. Also, we enjoyed the free Six Flags passes. Nothing really that good in the packet this year.
"nothing really that good"??
there’s nothing….. at all
no captain cash
no six flags
no nothing
no valet parking passes
i don’t “expect” any of those, but their absence isn’t exactly a positive development

"goodies" weren't enclosed with the tickets
They came in another envelope. If you haven’t gotten anything like that Sam, you should inquire in the season ticket office. No six flags passes though and I noticed no six flags day among the promotions. I wonder if the two are doing any cross-promotions at all this year as the combination ticket they have been offering the past few years for six flags admission and a lower box seat was a pretty good deal.
they've been trimming the loot pretty steadily for years
If you go back far enough as a season ticket holder, my recollection is that they instituted the whole Rangers Rewards program in the wake of Arod’s departure in around 2003. At that point, for every full season seat (at least for mine in lower box) you got four free lower box seats a month, plus 1 seat upgrade per month. That meant 96 free lower box seats a season for someone with 4 full season seats. Nonetheless, the place was often empty.
The lower box seats gradually migrated to 100s levels boxes, then corner box and now lower reserved seats. The number of free seats has been cut in half and the upgrades (which originally could even be to the Cuervo Club) have gone away altogether.
They’ve also cut back on the number of free passes to the play park, and this year reduced the merchandise discount. to 15% from 20%. For the first time in many years I couldnt’ get four add on opening day seats.
On the other hand, the team has been a lot more competitive the past couple of years, and while in the past I couldn’t even give my extra seats away, through Subhub there is now an active market in which people I don’t even know are usually willing to pay me more for my seats than I paid for them. If I played my cards right, I could go to a bunch of games essentially for free.
Also, especially if you weren’t one who took advantage of the early payment discounts, the price increases over the past 5-10 years have actually been pretty modest on the order of around 25%. Prices are pretty fairly priced compared to other teams.and relatively speaking my seats at $39 are better located than the face value $147 seats that a friend gave me to a Mavs game last week..
I like goodies as much as anyone, and I certainly am well aware when something I had last year is gone the next. But given a choice of a few more goodies or having reasonably priced seats to a popular team with an excellent chance of going to the post-season, I will gladly take the latter ten times out of ten.
yeah..... b/c that's what drives up the cost of tickets
with all due respect, including swag that is mostly free from sponsors/advertisers isn’t even a drop in the bucket
using your numbers – $39 × 4 × 81 + 810 (parking) = $13,446
getting $100 worth of stuff (which is on the VERY high end on a cost basis for the team – maybe $25??) isn’t a huge gesture
granted, a lot of the stuff in the past was cross-branding with HSG – hockey tickets, rodeo tickets, etc, but a lot of it wasn’t. it shouldn’t be hard to find corporate marketing types to underwrite promotions to people in a demographic that’s willing to spend $4,000 – $20,000+ on season tickets.
there’s not even a discount on the back on the tickets this year. it’s a DQ “what’s your favorite blizzard” ad
if you were right, i would agree with you, but you aren’t.
ticket prices have ZERO to do with rewarding your most loyal customers by giving them something that cost the team practically nothing.

you are leaving out the free tickets
Obviously, a coupon on the back for water or chips or a bottle of water doesn’t cost anything for the team—I have no explanation why DQ put an ad on the back of the tickets instead of a coupon.
Free tickets and upgrades, especially free tickets in lower box and upgrades to premium box and Cuervo Club asthey were doing in the early to mid 2000s are another issue altogether. If the seats will be vacant it costs them essentially nothing, and puts another person in the stadium to buy beer and hot dogs. With three million expected this year, ticket giveaways, especially in good seats, especially for seats which likely would have been sold, have more serious revenue implications.
Anyway my point isn’t so much that swag is expensive as it is that team performance and reasonably priced tickets are a lot bigger issues for me than whether I get $1 off chips at Chilis on the back of my ticket and a pass to six flags.
Thunderstorms at Memphis hub may cause some service delays and disruptions within the U.S. today!
This was on the FedEx page today when I checked the status of my order. My tickets are in Memphis as we speak. Love it! Who knows when I will get my season tickets.
I don’t even care about the extra stuff, I just want my tickets! :)
Update
we got a tracking number late Friday (as in, after we went to bed).
The hubs is at the old apartment packing this morning, and Fedex just dropped off our tickets.
