Easter Day OT Thread

Putting this up in the middle of the night because, well - why the fuck not? Saturday's thread exploded, so we might as well get it done.

I was thinking earlier about how fucking stupid rabbits being associated with Easter is, and wondered how the fuck that ever happened, so instead of a random wiki today, you get the Easter Bunny entry.

The Easter Bunny or Easter Hare (sometimes Spring Bunny in the U.S.[1][2][3]) is a character depicted as a rabbit bringing Easter eggs, who sometimes is depicted with clothes. In legend, the creature brings baskets filled with colored eggs, candy and sometimes also toys to the homes of children, and as such shows similarities to Father Christmas, as they both bring gifts to children on the night before their respective holiday. It was first mentioned in Georg Franck von Frankenau's De ovis paschalibus[4] (About the Easter Egg) referring to an Alsace tradition of an Easter Hare bringing Easter Eggs (and the negative impact of too much egg consumption).
