Gardner Goldsmith is a television and radio script writer, journalist and author whose work has appeared in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. He was also the host of "Against the Grain", and creator of The Liberty Conspiracy. He lectures on political economics, and is now an Adjunct Scholar with the free market think tank, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, located in Washington, DC.

Named "Libertarian of the Year" by the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire in 2006, Goldsmith has spent time in the script departments of "Star Trek: Voyager" and "The Outer Limits". He is also the creator of, and voice for, the radio character "Mitsu Hitachi, Master of Feng Shui", who, along with his new apprentice "Oragami" (played by his niece), predicts the future by moving furniture.
