To all the Dallas-area attorneys on the board, the Dallas Area Young Lawyers are hosting a CLE on 5/12 regarding the Rangers bankruptcy proceedings last year. I don't know how in-depth the presentation will be, but I thought this sounded interesting enough to pass along to the group. I'm a member of DAYL, but I only found out about this through a blast email. I've copied the email below for any who are interested.
DAYL is hosting a CLE luncheon about the Rangers' well publicized bankruptcy on May 12th at the Belo Mansion at noon (please arrive 10 minutes early if you plan to each lunch). Join us for an in depth discussion with a panel that experienced the proceedings from the front lines. Attendees should expect a high level discussion from a panel that was actively involved in the bankruptcy and represented some of the major players.
The luncheon will be moderated by Jonathan Covin, and the panel will include Mark Chevallier, Scott Dewolf, Jeff Prostok, and William Snyder. Don't miss what is sure to be both a fun and thought provoking discussion on the largest bankruptcy of a sports franchise in the history of the DFW metroplex.
There is no charge for DAYL members to attend; non-members pay $10.
RSVP to Cherie Harris (Cherieh@dayl.com).
I was going to make this a FanShot, but I realized there wasn't a direct link to the event on the DAYL main page, so this is more efficient.
