Thanks for the update!
I’d say it’s about time for Ryan Garko to hang it up.

Yep
Though it wasn’t that long ago a lot of people on this site wanted to trade for him (including me). Then we got him without having to give up anything, and he sucked. Be careful what you wish for. Or something.
Please check out the charity that I run, Fort Worth Music Outreach@ www.fortworthmusicoutreach.org
glad to see him getting paid
always seemed like a good guy
also, glad to see we have commenters from all over the globe here haha
Scout: He was a first-round pick right? Got a huge bonus?
KG: Oh yeah.
Scout: Well, he spent a lot of it on milkshakes.
So that's why Mathis was the most looked up player on Fangraphs the other day.

We might want to explain the Asian kid thing
Because that probably doesn’t make sense to a Korean person….
See, there’s a popular naming convention in American sports, where the first syllable of the first name and last name are combined. This is how we got A-Rod from Alex Rodriguez, J-Ho from Josh Howard, and so on.
Doug Mathis’ break down to Do-Math, or ‘do math’.
There’s a stereotype in America that Asian kids are good at math (normally stereotypes aren’t the greatest thing, but if the stereotype is that you’re good at something, then how bad could it be?)
Therefore, Doug Mathis became Do-Math became Asian Kid.
