Angels lose, Rangers two games up in the A.L. West

Despite Cory Wade and Mariano Rivera's best efforts, the Yankees pulled out a 6-5 win against the Angels today.
That puts the Angels two games behind the Rangers in the A.L. West race. Texas has three games in Oakland this weekend, while Anaheim has three games this weekend in Toronto.
Speaking of the Angels, Ken Rosenthal has a story about the Angels' pursuit of Texas in the A.L. West, and how the team's top three gives them a great playoff rotation, but that they're dragged down by an anemic offense.

taking H/A records into consideration, the most likely outcome is LAA taking the series 3-1
anything can happen in four games, but chances are better that it ends up 3-1 LAA than 3-1 TEX or 2-2. a four-game sweep is highly unlikely for either team, obviously.
looking at the weekend, TEX has a tougher matchup than LAA, although they are, again, very similar from a statistical perspective. LAA has better road record of TEX and LAA and OAK has better home record of TOR and OAK.

in our 4 game set against the Angels after our series against the A’s.

the Angels lines up – Richards, Chatwood, Santana, and Weaver.
The Rangers need to start getting leads in these games. It’s getting frustrating having to play from behind every single night.

That we actually have an expectation to win. We know this team is better. Before, we knew that the other team could likely score again and again, but we would hope to outscore them. I’m not saying losing seasons are fun, but without the expectation the losing hurts less and the frustration levels fall in line with that.

but postseason schedule is out. Looks like they will avoid most of the weekday day games except for Tues 10/4. Also looks like there isn’t a bunch of unnecessary off days w/out travel which is good too.

I guess I side with Wilson cause I like him and he pitches for the Rangers
but I really don’t see what the big deal is about what he said. I don’t know. He talks about everyone and everything a lot, not just the A’s. And what he said about the fanbase was just the truth, not anything horrible. Oh well. This should probably be in the Cheezits/Wheat Thins thread anyway.
Although I did get pissed off when Pedroia was whining about the infield that time. Last season or something? But I already hate him anyway.
