Yo, Jason. I'm really happy for you. I'mma read you later.
But Hulet had one of the best prospect lists of all time.
ONE OF THE BEST PROSPECT LISTS OF ALL TIME.

Fantastic list
Cole is the best in the business when it comes to Rangers prospect coverage. I’m the best looking and the most mentally unstable. We form a potent duo.
Jekyll and Clydesdale, the two of you.
Raised this elsewhere, but: how do you feel about Mike Newman over at FanGraphs?

Mike actually watches players in person
Lots of respect for that. I’ve disagreed with some of his opinions on players in the past, but that’s the beauty of subjective prognostication. His eyes have seen talent and the debates have always been intellectually stimulating. His only limitation is his coverage area.
Thanks -- that's what I'd guessed.
I would’ve gone with Bonnie & Clydesdale, by the way, but Bonnie was the better-looking and more mentally unstable one, right?

seems like he has learned
a lot since he started as well. I remember his start as being a bit rocky, with many of his reports being panned.
Yeah, I think he found his footing
He’s not the best writer on the planet, but he knows how to get his evaluations on the page, and that’s all that really matters in the end.
He mostly spells "confirmation" correctly, though.

You're just nonconformist to the core, Parks.
Or is that nonconfirmist?

He's not going to conform to your definition of nonconformist.

They have them ranked in about the same place.
Cole seems slightly more upbeat, but Parks should weigh in here.

The tools are still there
But as I’ve said before, most players with physical gifts fail to reach their potential for reasons that go beyond those characteristics. Beltre still has a lot of growing up to do.
he already
had a run in with the coaching staff during winter ball so seems like a kid without a major league makeup; he’s 22 1/2 so I’d be shocked if there is any kind of turn around. His upside would seem to be Borbon but with true CF instincts. As Texas has turned him into a light-hitting contact hitter, I can’t see his bat as having too much value anymore (#9 hitter, terrible obp). Dont you think his realistic ceiling is a 4-5 OF, like Gentry, as his strong arm and plus D at 3 spots will still have value on clubs that keep 5 OF? That is to say, he’s not really a boom or bust player, rather, he could have a long career as a reserve.
You can ask if it's worth the money.
It is.

23 is Will Lamb, 27 is Wilmer Font
In all honesty, after the top 13-14, the next 20 spots are all very close to each other. Deep system that has a lot of promising second-tier prospects like that.
Also, I'm posting from the sky.
I don’t think that will ever get old.
No problem
I don’t mind giving out a few rankings as a little bit of a teaser!
My top five really isn’t anything surprising. I’ve always thought the most value in a list like this comes from seeing the prospects ranking 20-50 and reading about some of the less-publicized guys like Andrew Faulkner and Smerling Lantigua.
For what it’s worth, my #51 was Joey Butler and 52 was Nick Martinez. It was sorta tough to leave Martinez off because I liked him last year, and I know Parks did as well. Good fastball, fast arm, smooth delivery, commanded it well. He and Hendricks are fairly similarly rated prospects.
AWWWW SHIT SMERLING LANTIGUA ALERT
BET HIS NAME TOOL PUT HIM OVER THE TOP.

It's terrible, but I keep reading the kid's name as "Ovipositor de los Santos,"
and thinking about “Aliens.”

Well, if you're going to have a talent
that’s a good one to have.
