I'm going. If you're interested, we can meet there, sit together and possibly hang out after. No commitment required, you can contact me right up to game time. It's free, no tickets or assigned seating.
Regardless of your feelings about the Longhorns, it can be a nice way to kick off the season - outdoor baseball in January. The alums represent a wide array of MLB teams - a few, like Drew Stubbs (pictured) are in The Show.

last year's recap
last year's box score
Last year Taylor Teagarden and Omar Quintanilla played, as far as Rangers go. Huston Street was present but didn't see action. Brandon Belt skipped, hope he shows this year. Best represented were Reds and Nationals, three apiece.
Longhorns drafted last year: Taylor Jungmann (RHP, Brewers, 1st round, 12th overall pick); Sam Stafford (LHP, Yankees, 2nd round, 88th pick); Brandon Loy (SS, R/R, Tigers, 5th Round, 167th pick); Cole Green (RHP, Reds, 9th round, 295th pick); Andrew McKirahan (LHP, Cubs, 21st round); Tant Shepherd (1B, R/R, Mets, 24th round).
The stadium is dry of course, but we can always pound a couple outside. Probably won't have the full array of vendors, but hopefully Pok-e-Jo's Barbecue and Hat Creek Burgers will be there. If you want, e-mail me (see profile) and we can exchange numbers.
