This Day in LSB History
Three years ago today, Keith Law did his top 100 prospect rankings, and 9 Rangers made the list.
And there was much happiness and rejoicing.

That is some awesome hair
Josey Wales: "And if you think intangibles really do exist, how in the F could you vote Ellsbury as the MVP?"
Adam J. Morris: "If it weren’t for my horse, I wouldn’t have spent that year in college."
Really?
I’d say Wieters, Snider, Anderson, Porcello, Beckham, Rasmus (kind of), Vitters, Smoak, FMart, Wallace, and Truinfel have disappointed. I know they are still young and some can/will develop but 11 disappointments in the top 25 prospects seems high considered almost none of the guys have not done well due to injuries.
Who knows though, I’d have to look at lists from other years to see.

Doing a quick and very unscientific classification of disappointments
From BA the past 10 years
2002 – 14
2003 – 6
2004 – 10
2005 – 10
2006 – 6
2007 – 9
2008 – 8
2009 – 11
2010 – ?
2011 – ?
That averages a little over 9 placing the 2009 list a little below average. Again, very unscientific and much debate could be had on who is a disappointment and who is not.

Who are you counting as disappointments from 2005?
by Adam J. Morris on Jan 22, 2012 4:50 PM CST up reply actions
Can't remember exactly who I had, should be 11 though not 10
I’m not sure who I didn’t count the first time unless I didn’t scroll down and stopped counting at 24.
Young
Stewart
Guzman
Marte
Lastings
Dallas
Miller
Hermida
Niemann
Dopirak
Capellan
Again did these quick without checking on numbers and such, I’m sure many of them could be debated.
