This Day in LSB History
Four years ago today, the Rangers designated Armando Galarraga for assignment.
Galarraga was traded to the Detroit Tigers for Michael Hernandez, and promptly had a pretty good season for them, resulting in much criticism of Jon Daniels giving up "four aces" in Galarraga, Edinson Volquez, John Danks, and Chris Young.
Other than the perfect game that wasn't, though, Galarraga hasn't done much since then.

I love reading threads like that
and seeing how some folks thought it should have been Cruz over Galarraga
Go Rangers! Go Cowboys! Go FSU!
I'm not sure I've ever felt more sorry for
any guy in my life.

Looking through some notes, I speculated that other candidates were Feldman and Robinson Tejeda (himself waived a few months later) or maybe Josh Rupe or John Rheinecker (who barely pitched again). And I don’t believe Hernandez even showed up to Spring Training, or at least I couldn’t find anyone who’d seen him when I was out there. NOT a candidate was Luis Mendoza, because of his magical two-seamer.

When are we going to stop letting go of these aces?
We will never make it to the World Series at this rate!

Instead none of those guys are aces
I hate The Angels so much, it's actually cramping my style. (See RevHaloFans SBN profile page)
