So, thoughts on a keeper league deal I pulled?
Dealt Rubio, Dirk, and Kobe for Stephan Curry and Dwight Howard. It’s only 5 keepers per league and I don’t think I would have kept Rubio unless he stayed just on fire all year, so in a year where my team wasn’t going anywhere, I got a lot younger at 2 keeper positions.

I somehow missed out on the SSD talk in last night's thread.
The only SSD option available on my new build is a 128GB that is going to cost about $350 more than the 500GB 7200 RPM drive. Obviously, I can get something larger and at a better size to price ratio from Newegg, but then I’d have to image the boot drive that the machine comes with, swap the two, and then use the drive that it’s shipped with for storage. Thoughts?
you need the largest SSD drive you can find.
While you’re at it, upgrade your RAM also. But I might be biased since I work for a large memory manufacturer. :)

I kinda knew I was going to get a job there but it was just a long process (state agency)…I was pretty lucky in that I didn’t have to go do a ton of interviews.

be hesitant to draft Coples so high becasue of the lack of production during his senior year while Brockers doesn’t really have any baggage. If you’re a team picking in the top 10, you want the sure thing and Coples might turn some teams off becasue of the lack of production during his senior year.

I certainly wouldn’t be shocked by it, but I personally think Coples goes before Brockers, especially since Coples goes equally well in a 3-4 and a 4-3, and Brockers is considered a much better prospect in a 3-4, iirc.

where this was last year at NC? Why he didn’t produce? Was it lack of motivation? Maybe an injury? Playing as not to get injured? I think some teams will view this as a red flag especially when you are guaranteeing a big investment in him.

He also played at Troy.
JPP also weighs 20 pounds more than Ware, and Kearse wasn’t nicknamed the freak for nothing. It could work, but we have one of the best OLBs in the game right now, why run the risk?

Yes, they gave up yards, but not points, got a lot of turnovers, and rushed the QB enough, even though they could really, really use a good pass rusher. The yards stuff was to some extent because they had some issues in the secondary (lots and lots of injuries and some players who stepped up big last year disappeared this year), but also, because they were always ahead.

Just installed Excel 2011 for my Mac.
I’m pleasantly surprised at it. Pivot tables work… everything seems to be fairly in order.
Makes live much easier… Numbers is okay for some stuff… but hard to get dirty with it.

Any Tetris players?
I just had the game ruined for me. I played the perfect game (so I thought). 100% tetrises throughout the entire game, most of them back-to-back… but I didn’t set the high score.
I was livid. So I checked how they score the game, and I’ve been wrong this entire time. I tried to play with the new scoring knowledge, and I can’t do it. Tetris career ovah.
So what is the ideal scoring strategy?

It has everything to do with how many lines you have left in the level.
If you have 12 lines left, and you get a tetris, it removes 8 lines from your goal. This shortens the game relative to getting singles.
The real boon scoring-wise is back-to-back lines, where you get a .5 multiplier.
So ideally, with 12 lines left, you get back-to-back single lines until you are down to 1 line… THEN you get the tetris, which now has the points of a tetris and you don’t shorten the game (it only subtracts to 0, so instead of 8 lines of credit, you get 1 line). It’s confusing.
Also, T-Spin’s are worth more than a Tetris, and I didn’t even know what those were previously.
