McKayla Maroney is not impressed with you, Josh Hamilton - Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE

Various reactions from around the interwebs to the Angels signing Josh Hamilton

So, Josh Hamilton signing with the Angels has generated a whole host of columns and blog posts around the internet...

Keith Law's take is that this may work in the short-term for Anaheim, but Hamilton won't be worth $25 million in years 4 and 5 of this deal, and come 2016, Anaheim will be paying a lot of paying for three players -- Hamilton, Albert Pujols, and C.J. Wilson -- who Law thinks likely won't be very good.

Jeff Passan writes that the Angels poaching Hamilton is just the latest move in what is becoming one of the best rivalries in MLB.

Sam Miller thinks the Angels paid $25 million to go from a two-win player to a four-win player, but also questions whether dollar figures even matter for the L.A. clubs now.

Jeff Sullivan has a piece at FanGraphs looking at this move, and he points out that the Angels aren't really upgrading their performance relative to what they got in 2012...Josh Hamilton had an fWAR of 4.4 in 2012 (his 2nd highest fWAR ever), but Torii Hunter, who he is replacing, had a 5.3 fWAR in 2012.

Rev Halo is having a hard time with this...here's the intro to his latest item:

There are not really words when your favorite team signs your least favorite player.
