Monday Morning Rangers Update

Stay connected for news and updates

Look! I found a photo of a player who is still a Texas Ranger - Rick Yeatts

How 'bout those Cowboys?

The deep freeze in Ranger land continues. R.A. Dickey is almost off the market, Mike Napoli might be back on the market, and it's been two weeks since the Rangers signed Joakim Soria.

Richard Durrett begins our week by discussing Nick Swisher as someone who might be an impact player left on the free agent market that makes some sense for the Rangers.

The DMN builds a story around a Buster Olney tweet about how execs around baseball think the Rangers are now the best fit for Swisher. When all else fails, we've got stories built around idle tweets about speculation on possibilities in offseason 2012.

Lastly, Durrett writes about how the bullpen will look different (or, you know, worse) in 2013. Lost in all the Josh Hamilton fallout was the fact that Mike Adams finally signed with Philadelphia as expected. I'll miss those Uehara/Ogando/Adams setup daydreams.

So this is what it was like to get an orange and a pair of socks on Christmas morning.
