Cliff Lee and Mitch Williams - Drew Hallowell
Saturday morning Rangers news and links
Yeah, there's not much going on right now...
How slow is it? Well, T.R.. Sullivan has a story about the Astros joining the A.L., the balance of power in the A.L. West, and how the DH impacts the game, with quotes from Mike Scioscia about how he feels the DH increases strategy, rather than decreases it.
And Gerry Fraley has a blog post about Johan Yan throwing a scoreless seventh inning in the winter league playoffs yesterday.
Mitch Williams offers his thoughts on the Rangers offseason. He believes that, of the 30 MLB teams, the Rangers are the team that has the most they still need to do this offseason, with his two big issues being that Elvis Andrus should be traded for Justin Upton (a move he calls a "no-brainer"), and that Mike Maddux is a problem that the Rangers need to address.
And...that's all we got this morning. Sorry.
