Jeff Wilson has a blog post up at the S-T, with a lengthy roundup on the various Rangers rumors and where things stand.

Wilson has this to say about the Justin Upton for Elvis Andrus rumors:

If Hamilton isn't re-signed, there is a serious chance that the outfield of David Murphy, Leonys Martin/Craig Gentry, and Nelson Cruz will start on Opening Day. Nick Swisher's price tag has been deemed too high, and the Upton trade won't happen if Andrus is involved.

That could be reality. Or it could be the Rangers putting up a smokescreen to try to extract as much as possible from Arizona in exchange for Elvis. Take it for what it is worth.
