T.R. Sullivan writes that it appears likely that the Rangers will have to attend an arbitration hearing for the first time since 2000. Elvis Andrus' hearing is set for this Thursday with Mike Napoli scheduled for a hearing on Feb. 15 and Nelson Cruz scheduled on Feb. 17.
Evan Grant and Barry Horn were on SportsDay On Air to discuss the Josh Hamilton relapse situation. Here is Grant and Horn discussing whether the possibility of Hamilton signing elsewhere has changed and here is Grant and Horn discussing the type of contract Hamilton could potentially get in free agency now.
Anthony Andro reports on the signing of Joe Beimel and Conor Jackson to minor-league deals with some quotes from Jon Daniels.
Richard Durrett continues his positional outlook series with No. 2 starter Derek Holland.

Must be nice, when I went to St. Louis this year I walked from the airport to the train.
The train let me off right at Busch. It was pretty awesome……until I realized that even though it is 84 degrees it is more miserably hot than any Rangers game I had ever attended.

I didn't park there when I went.
Took the subway, walked 2 blocks, and entered the stadium. That is probably the coolest thing about attending a game somewhere like Boston, NY, or Chicago. 1 dollar to get to the game instead of 10 to park and when the game is over, no sitting in traffic forever.
