So, I got stuck in a subway door trying to bounce cars before it left the station yesterday. There I was, jammed in between the doors... I can't begin to explain just how much pressure those doors apply. Only thing I could do was rip my semi-smashed almost-bleeding self from the car doors. In the process, my left flip flop escaped the clutches of my toes and resoundingly plopped on the inside of the subway car as the train is beginning to pull from the station.

There I was, Shoeless Benji, a one-footed sloth contemplating the now immediate plight of half-barefoot NYC subway bouncing. Out of nowhere, a commotion, and as the train is almost gone from the station, out comes my foreveraloneflipflop from between cars. Some good Samaritan had nabbed my shoe, run to the end of the car, popped open the door, and threw it back out onto the platform... in under 10 seconds time.
