Back to 4 games up in the A.L. West, with the win yesterday and the Angels losing to Arizona...
T.R. Sullivan's game story talks about Yu Darvish using his extra time between starts to work on his fastball command in his bullpen sessions, work that paid off yesterday in Darvish's 11 K outing.
Gerry Fraley has his observations from yesterday's game up at the DMN Rangers blog.
Richard Durrett writes that Yu Darvish simplified his approach yesterday, and it paid off with a stellar outing.
Justin Grimm makes his major league debut tonight, and wants to treat this start like any other. Ron Washington said yesterday the Rangers hadn't decided what move to make to clear a spot for Grimm, since their plan of having him take Koji Uehara's roster spot was thwarted when Leonys Martin was called up and filled that spot, but my guess is that Yoshinori Tateyama is optioned.
Sullivan also has a story on Nelson Cruz and the lessons he learned from his father growing up.
