ACA Decision Thread

Because I know many of us want to discuss the outcome of the ACA cases, and because I'm certain many others will gnash their teeth and troll us when we do in the OT thread, I thought I'd create this one.

You can follow the events from this morning live at the scotusblog. You'll also learn about the outcome of the Alvarez case (stolen valor). I convinced my wife to marry me by telling her I'm a Navy Seal, so this one could have a real impact for me.

UPDATE: Here are the opinions. In short, there is a 5-4 majority to uphold the individual mandate as valid exercise of the taxing power. There is a 5-4 majority finding that the mandate exceeds the commerce clause power. The severability question has been mooted, and the medicaid expansion has been limited but not invalidated.
