I'm not buying the reported interest in Hamels and Greinke as deadline deals. The only way I could see the Rangers doing that is if they get an extension done, but, to me, they seem more like offseason potential targets, if at all.

Instead, the Rangers will almost certainly get a bat. If they're scouting anyone on the Phillies, I would guess it would be Victorino or Pence. I don't see anyone on the Brewers' roster that is of interest, outside of Braun, who shouldn't be obtainable.

I'd like to see them pick up Chase Headley, if they think he can still play LF. Hunter Pence would be an even better pick up.
