That was a weird game last night.

Jeff Wilson's game story talks about Derek Holland's strong start and Joe Nathan's scary 9th.

T.R. Sullivan writes that the Rangers "averted disaster" in the 9th inning last night.

Gerry Fraley has a blog post up about Nathan's adventurous 9th inning. Behind the paywall, Fraley writes that Holland's performance yesterday comes with an "asterisk."

Clint Foster has his "Rapid Reaction" up at the ESPN Dallas blog.

Wilson writes that the return of the Rangers' injured pitchers should be a boost to the team, with Colby Lewis, Alexi Ogando, and Koji Uehara all expected back early next week.

The S-T's notes talk about Yu Darvish pitching on 12 days rest today, Mitch Moreland working to return from his strained hamstring, and Martin Perez likely being sent down when Lewis is ready to be activated.

Sullivan's notes hit on Mike Napoli likely missing today's game with a bruised quad, Michael Young wanting to put his poor first half behind him, Justin Grimm being back in a rotation again (at Round Rock), and some minor league injury news. Michael Bianucci will be on the shelf for several weeks with a thumb injury, and David Perez is on the disabled list because of elbow tendinitis.
