With the deadline less than an hour away, the Rangers reportedly are continuing to work the phones and see what sort of deal might be out there for them.
Ken Rosenthal has tweeted that the Rangers are out on Royals reliever Jonathan Broxton. Broxton never seemed like a great fit for the Rangers anyway, and he's apparently now being offered to the Reds.
There's also a new name out there -- Jared Burton, a 31 year old righthanded reliever that the Twins signed as a free agent this offseason.
The Rangers reportedly are talking to the Twins about Burton, who would be eligible for arbitration rather than free agency this offseason if the Rangers chose to keep him around. The Rangers have been rumored to be shopping for a reliever in order to allow them to potentially move Alexi Ogando back into the rotation.
