The results of the fan voting for the 34th and final spot on the 2012 All Star Team rosters has been announced, and Yu Darvish was the top vote-getter among the American League candidates. As a result, Yu Darvish will be one of eight Rangers who are on the final A.L. roster.

On the N.L. side, David Freese of the St. Louis Cardinals finished atop the balloting, and thus he will be added to the National League roster.

The Rangers will be well represented in the Mid-Summer Classic. Catcher Mike Napoli, third baseman Adrian Beltre, and outfielder Josh Hamilton were all voted in as starters in the fan balloting. Ian Kinsler was voted in by the players, and Elvis Andrus, Matt Harrison, and Joe Nathan were all selected by manager Ron Washington as reserves.

The All Star Game will take place on July 10, 2012, with pregame ceremonies beginning at 6:30 p.m.
