Ho hum...another Rangers win...of course, Oakland stomped Boston last night, 20-2, so the Rangers are still 4 games up in the A.L. West.

Drew Davison writes in his game story that Ryan Dempster looked last night like the Ryan Dempster that was dominant for the Cubs this year, keeping the ball down, throwing strikes, and holding the Indians to one run in six innings.

T.R. Sullivan's game story talks about the aggressive baserunning by the Rangers that helped them put runs on the board.

Bryan Dolgin has his Rapid Reaction from last night's game.

Sullivan has a story on the Rangers' September callups -- Jurickson Profar, Martin Perez, Leonys Martin, Brandon Snyder, Yoshinori Tateyama, and Tanner Scheppers.

Richard Durrett says that, although Jurickson Profar has been called up, you shouldn't expect him to get regular playing time the rest of the way. Gerry Fraley has quotes from Ron Washington, indicating that Profar will be used mainly as a pinch runner or a pinch hitter.

Thad Levine says that the Rangers are playing it safe by putting Robbie Ross on the disabled list, given that he reported forearm soreness and has had a heavy workload this season. By putting Ross on the d.l., Tanner Scheppers was able to be brought up immediately from the minors, without waiting the ten days normally required since he was optioned.

Davison's notes talk about the Rangers' September callups, Ross going on the d.l., Mike Napoli getting closer to a return from the d.l., and Mike Olt's sore foot.

Ron Washington says Scott Feldman's spot in the rotation is safe, but he needs to improve his tempo on the mound.

Sullivan's notes talk about Olt's injury, Napoli's imminent return, Justin Grimm going to AA Frisco for the playoffs, and Feldman's tempo.
