Martin Perez couldn't get out of the first. Roy Oswalt couldn't throw more than 24 pitches. Wilmer Font couldn't get an out. Tanner Scheppers stopped growing a beard. And Yoshi Tateyama & Justin Grimm had to pitch four combined innings of garbage time. Yuck.
I love Yoshinori Tateyama. He's one of my favorite trivial Rangers ever. But when Yoshinori Tateyama is the best player of any particular game--such as this one, it's likely that game was not a very good one--which this one was not.
