CFB Week 8 - The BCS Farewell Tour Begins....

But first, let's all shower Mack with our love, Longhorn fans!(This one's for you, KoK)

Well, what a week that was. UT wins one for the gipper and in process make themselves a legitimate threat to Baylor's claim on the Big XII title.(Tech, too.) Speaking of Baylor, I'll openly admit I congratulated ODB after the game for what I consider their best win of the season. Call it facetious if you want, I did what I thought was right. Elsewhere, two top ten teams fell in Georgia and Stanford and the SEC broke their own record for most teams ranked in the AP Top 25.(8)

This week, another top ten team will fall as #5 Florida State travels with the College Game Day crew to #3 Clemson for the game of the week. Will Jameis Winston make his case for the heir apparent to JFF for the Heisman, or will Taj Boyd join the party, like he hasn't already. If Baylor is the new "little darlings" of the Big XII, then the Missouri Tigers are the equivalent in the SEC. I wonder if KoK would grace us with the F+ rankings for these two programs to date. The Tigers host the Fightin' Muschamps in another test for the upstart Tigers, but they'll be doing so without their leader, James Franklin. The Bears, on the other hand, host Iowa State. The only redeeming thing I can tell you about the Cyclones is that they've lost all of their games by a margin of 8 points or less. Also in ranked action, UCLA travels to Stanford in Pac 12 action. I'll be dead honest, I haven't seen any UCLA action and Stanford is, well, Stanford. And finally, the Aggies, fresh off yet another escaping victory in the Grove, host the somewhat surprising 5-1 Auburn Tigers. Malzhan has the 7th best running game in the nation, so this will probably be yet another game where the team with ball last, wins.

The first CFP Selection Committee Chair Person has been selected and it is Arkansas AD Jeff Long. (Team Speed Kills)
